Latest Update

Registration is NOW OPEN! Races will be on July 23, 2022 (pending permit approval; however, we've never been denied since we started). We have changed the start/end times for the 6 and 12 hour events so they run more in the evening. We have also added a 3-hour fun run to the mix for those of you wanting a training run, have fun without all the miles, or are a first timer. Be sure to register before the end of the year for early bird pricing.

Volunteer

We can use your help! Good news, too, unlike previous years, most volunteer positions are during NORMAL hours πŸ˜ƒ, but we will need a few to help us with Saturday overnight at the aid station. If you're available and able to join our volunteer staff, we are specifically looking for help with event setup, registration/race check-in, aid station, and event breakdown. Volunteer perks include a race goody and R4W Race Credits. You can see our current opportunities and sign up by clicking on the registration button below.
Shift times are flexible. If you can’t make the whole shift or are available between shifts, let us know what works for you. We are grateful for any hours you are able to volunteer!

3rd year doing this race. It's a laid back atmosphere, great volunteers, great snacks, nice course. You can camp out and rest as needed. ~ Yuvanka
That was a fantastic. This was my first attempt at 100 and I had a great time doing it in the 24. Your volunteers were amazing, the food great (especially the bean quesadillas) and the decorations inspiring, especially for a Xmas nut like me. I think it is highly likely I will come back next year and try for more than 100 and if my schedule doesn't permit running I will definitely visit and volunteer. Well done.‬ ~ Jim
What a fantastic event! The volunteers and participants were pretty amazing. An unforgettable experience of a lifetime! I just can't say enough about what a positive experience this was!!! I was originally going to do a 50k and be done but the experience was so positive that I continued on to do the 51.5796 miles. Thank you! ~ Debbie

About

Runners 4 Wellness, LLC was founded in 2013 and founded by trail runners, Brian Gaines and Ed Kelly with the goal of providing each and every runner with a WOW experience at our events. We put on races that we would want to run ourselves and pay special attention to all the nitty gritty details so you can just focus on your training for the big race day.

We put on the DPR Trail Marathon and 50-Mile Trail Races, which began in 2010, as well as, Chicago's original Christmas in July 6-Hour, 12-Hour, and 24-Hour Solo/Relay Endurance Runs, which began in 2014. We hope that you participate in one of our races and if there are any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out via email.
